The "Speakers Need To Speak" Blueprint

0 of 4 steps done

Your 3-step system for finding and maximizing speaking opportunities — from identifying where your ideal clients gather to leveraging every stage moment into business growth.

Step 1: Identify Your Ideal Audience

Map your client's journey: identify the top 3 communities where your ideal clients already gather; research industry conferences, podcasts, and virtual summits; list local business groups, chambers of commerce, and networking organizations. Then rate each venue with the CLIENTS framework: Client match, Lead potential, Influence level, Engagement opportunity, Networking value, Time investment, Sales opportunity.

Step 2: Craft Content That Converts

Design your talk to showcase expertise while naturally leading to your offer: open with a compelling statistic, story, or question that hits your audience's pain points; establish authority with your journey and client success stories; deliver 3–5 actionable insights; present the gap that remains if they implement alone; bridge to clear next steps. Enhance delivery with the Problem-Agitate-Solve framework, audience participation, strong visuals, and practice until it feels conversational.

Step 3: Maximize Each Speaking Opportunity

Before: create a lead magnet for this audience, prepare a simple opt-in (QR code, text, short URL), research 3–5 high-value prospects, announce your talk on social media. During: arrive early to network, offer your lead magnet at the optimal moment, collect testimonials immediately, schedule follow-ups. After: follow up within 24 hours, share your slides with those who opted in, request referrals to other stages, repurpose the content, and document results for future proposals.

Bonus: Speaker Outreach Templates

Cold outreach: 'Subject: [Specific Value] for [Organization] Members' — reference a connection, name their goal, offer a tailored presentation with a specific benefit, cite a previous result, and ask for a brief conversation. Follow-up: attach a one-page overview with key takeaways, relevant experience, and testimonials, offer flexible dates, and request a 15-minute call.

Speaking is just the beginning. The real business growth happens in how you leverage each opportunity — work the system and every stage becomes a pipeline.
